About Me

I graduated from high school in 1989 then went on to attend Oakton Community College in Des Plaines until 1990. At that time I joined the US Navy and served honorable from 1990-1998. I served onboard 4 Ballistic Missile Submarines and completed 8 ballistic missile detterant patrols in the Atlantic Ocean. I went on to decommission 3 submarines & convert 1 to a Moored Training Ship(MTS). Once my obligated service was completed I left the military to return to college and continue my education. I received a certificate in Architectural Computer Aided Drafting and a certificate in Architectural Technology. 

 

I went on to work for several small start up computer companies in the Chicago area. I also worked for several Litigation Support Companies in which I scanned legal documents into the computer for use in trails. At this time I also started my own web development company and sub-companies in which we designed and developed personal and company web presences. I also drove a truck over the road from 2006-2008. In 2008 I decided to return to the military due to hard economic times. I served in the US Army from 2008-2012 at which time I was again honorabley discharged from Active Duty. In 2009-2010 I was deployed to Iraq with the 1st Infantry Division, 4th Combat Brigade Team, 701st BSB, 2-16 Infantry Battalion, Fox Company where I was assigned as a Lead Gun Truck .50 caliber gunner and ammunition specialist. I received specialized training in Sensitive Site Explotation, Ammunition Handling, HAZMAT Training, Heavy Weapons, Small Arms, & Combatives. I also received my Associates Degree in Science from Barton County Community College on Fort Riley.

 

In the Fall of 2013 I started at Western Illinois University in which I enrolled into the Law Enforcment and Justice Administration Program. I am also a member of Lambda Alpha Epsilon(LAE), ASIS International @ WIU, Alpha Phi Sigma(National Honor Society for Criminal Justice), Concert Safety Corps(CSC), SALUTE(National Veterans Honor Society) and Mortar Board @ WIU. Graduated in Spring(May) 2015.
